Upper Klamath Basin Landowners
UKBAC members are Upper Klamath Basin landowners who are engaged in farming or ranching. They believe in farm/ranch resiliency and want to help find and benefit from solutions to our shared issues. There is no cost to become a member.
Every member will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the UKBAC President and brainstorm ideas on what needs to happen to make their operation survive and thrive where possible.
Each member’s needs will be combined with like or similar needs of other landowner members to explore possible solutions and build scale and/or funding opportunities. Examples include:
- Large-scale juniper removal
- Design and funding for large-scale stockwater solutions
- Design and funding for irrigation efficiencies
Members will be informed on Oregon Water Resources Department (OWRD) well water rule-making activity and/or Department of Interior stakeholder meetings so our combined voice will be heard.
There is an interest at both the state and federal level to help us find solutions in the Upper Klamath Basin to avoid the collapse of the agricultural industry. Such a collapse in not in the best interests of any stakeholders, and they know it.
